Simply the best - Beautiful, De Mello approaches the topic of Love in his masterful way. It is truly a joy to leaf through this book and be broadsided by the simple but powerful truths.
Radical, yes. Breathtaking, yes. Forgetable, never! - This book is so far beyond description that I have ordered several to hand out to friends and relatives. People need to read it themselves and experience the aha!s on every page. De Mello takes the truths most of us have known, but never known, and makes them so relevant to our own lives that we do begin to see their meaning for us.
read this book - I have read so many books on spirituality, growth and religion and this is one of the best. DeMello is hard hitting, to the point, loving, ruthless and challenging. I have copied out phrases and sent them with my cynical husband to work and he has studied them and come home to discuss/contemplate them with me. Truly a work to keep near you and near your conscience. This book, these perceptions of the teachings in the bible, are for all faiths and cut to the bone, to the marrow of our ideas of grace and of our growth in grace.
Discover the real meaning of LOVE - There are few books that really have changed the way I view people and life itself - The Way to Love is definitely one, which accounts for the fact that I ve given over a dozen copies as gifts! Anthony de Mello digs into the very heart of the Scripture quoted at the beginning of each chapter - his unique view of life will expose all the falseness of our western way of thinking and perhaps make you question things you have always taken for granted. After reading and meditating perhaps you too will never be the same. Peace!
Simple concepts that challenge your beliefs about happiness. - This book provides simple, thought provoking concepts that open your eyes to the world around you. Each chapter challenges your goals, thoughts, and beliefs as to what you need to be happy. Read it. Spend time contemplating these concepts and experience the freedom from axiety and boredom in your life. It prompts a whole new level of thinking that rebuffs what society, religion, and family have taught you.
